A few blocks past the usually bars of MSG was this place. It was a late Saturday afternoon and the place had a decent crowd of 30-somethings enjoying the great beer selection. Had a couple sandwiches which were very good, but the waitresses left a lot to be desired. Its a shame that a great place without Jersey Shore wannabes or Wall Street kids ordering Patron had to be marred by some staff that didn't seem to care. I'll definetly go back - but will stay at the main bar.
The large beer list can be overwhelming so if you are planning to go there check out their menu ahead of time and do some research - their online beer menu has links to outside sites with reviews. The prices are a little steep (not all beers are served as a pint) so you don't want to make a mistake.

We had been a few times in the past and always enjoyed the great beer selection , this was the first time we also had dinner and the burgers and fries where just yummy. The chicken wings are also very good, looking forward to next trip there.

Just 1/2 block from the empire state building. This place is for beer lovers. About 35-40 taps, bottles, bar tenders that know what they are pouring. Good pub food.

Rattle N Hum NYC seems to get a fair number of tourists so I was surprised that it wasn't already on TripAdvisor. I go to RNH fairly often because it consistently has the best selection of craft beers in NYC, and offers some really good pub fare to enjoy it with. (And fortunately for me, it is also close to home.) For starters, there are 40-odd taps and casks, weekly featured breweries, and brewery event nights. Many of the menu items are prepared using some form of brew as well, there are specials, poor man beer menus, you can order cheese and charcuterie plates sourced from Murray's, and while the food may cost a bit more than the fare in your local bar, they are usually a cut above, like the burgers made from custom ground beef from three different cuts. One of the things I like most about RNH is that despite their success, Patrick and the staff keep trying to find ways to make it better.
