We had the good fortune to visit Jungsik again and it was incredible....again. They have refined the menu a bit with good effect and there are some new dishes that are excellent. Combining excellent food and presentation.....Jungsik continues to be a top notch destination for a memorable dining experience.

Outstanding! The food will absolutely not disappoint - tasting menu plus wine pairing was $260 pp so it's a splurge.... But I can now say I've had the best meal of my life... Waygu tartar, truffle risotto.... Amazing!!!!

And - visit the bathroom - Japanese style toilets are delightful - haha

Jungsik in TriBeca serves the most delicious and interesting Korean food (but nothing like any Korean food you've eaten unless you are rich and live in Seoul. There is an expensive ambiance - and a price and presentation to support it. Five course menu with a choice from 20 dishes cost $115 - many dishes are small tasters. Each dish was faultless - Yellowtail Hwe, Chrispy Black Bass, Smoked Pork Jowl (three tiny pieces - but each mouthful was outstanding). We left a but hungry and much poorer. Polite service - very formal. Others have said that the restaurant is not full because of the price - Jungsik wasn't full the night we ate there.
Only compliments for the food but they loose a star for the terribly slow service. After two hours nothing had arrived - we were there for four hours and that was not our choice. Would we go back? Probably not because such slow service is inexcusable -but great to eat there once.
