The hostess is rude and unfriendly. The waitress seemed like she wanted to be someplace else. Our brunch was good, not great. The bloody Mary was ok, not terrific. Really, the only thing going for the place is the decor and location.

We dined at Duo for dinner on Thanksgiving. We each started with a salad, which was delicious. It was served with cranberries, walnuts, goat cheese and a vinegrette dressing. The salads were large and scrumptuous. For dinner, we chose the traditional turkey dinners, with both white and dark meat, stuffing, sweet potatoes and a nice light gravy. Both of our dinners were awesome. The meat was moist and tender. We ordered a side of the green beans with shallots and they were also perfectly done. For dessert, which we took to go as the meal was so plentiful, we each had the pumpkin pie which was also very good. We did glance at the menu posted outside the door and noticed a nice variety of dinners. We thought the prices were fair for the dinners which were mentioned. We enjoyed the friendly, professional service by all of the staff. We would recommend this restaurant and would make it a point to dine there again on our next trip

Was very impressed by the ambience. Trendy, but not flashy. Great food presentation. Server was very knowledgeable about the city and was excellent. A must, when in Manhattan!

About 2 months ago, after a very enjoyable evening with a group of friends, I was, in fact, recommending this beautiful, elegant restaurant. I returned last week with my husband to celebrate his "very significant" birthday only to have it
completely ruined by the totally inept hostess and manager. Arrangements were made in advanced and were not followed through. Lorraine and Sabina - If you would have only heard the conversation that I got from these two, you would have hidden under a table! As we left, I suggested that a written apology was in order. I also thought to myself "How do these people have jobs"? Needless to say, the evening was a big let-down and a huge disappointment. So as for a recommendation, I observed the wait staff during my visit and found them outstanding, serving in a formal manner. There were a couple of glitches with our service but only minor. The food was good and presentation was quite attractive. We also enjoyed the ambiance. Just don't assume that previously made arrangements will be acknowledged. It's just a shame that the front people are beyond lame. BTW, there has been no apology...

The food was excellent, even though on the pricy side and the portions a little small. Excellent deserts and a very decent wine list. Great space, excellent service.
