“Awesome Pizza!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014

We were looking for a pizza place close to our hotel with some inside seating. Being Friday during Lent we were looking for a no meat dinner. Our hotel staff recommended Luigi's and we were so glad they did! We walked in and all the front tables were full. There are maybe 6-8 tables so it is not a big place. The man behind the counter asked how many. When we said 3 he showed us to a small booth in the back. We had cesar salad and pizza. The salads were large. The pizza was awesome. On the table are shakers of cheese, garlic, and pepper. This is obviously a popular spot with the locals as many were popping in on their way home from work to place orders and take them to go as well as they had many deliveries going out. That is always a good sign. Everyone was very friendly and we didn't realize it was "place your order at the counter, get your food and sit down" . They served us while handling a stream of walk-in customers. They didn't say "Hey, that's not how we do it. You need to come up and get your food". When we figured it out we felt a little bad so we left a nice tip. We also decided they deserved out repeat business. We stopped in 2 more times during our trip for a slice or two. This will definately be on our itinerary for any future trips to NYC and we will happily send any visiting friends their way. Note- they do not sell alcohol only soft drinks. With great food and service we didn't care.

“Small Restaurant great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2014

This small Italian restaurant ha great food located int he theater district of Manhattan.
The staff is friendly though there aren't many seats so going off hours is best.

We were are former new yorkers visiting and needed a place for late night dinner. in the Theater district.

They make good food and the Garlic knots are excellent. The pizza is good(though not great by NY standards). We had rigatoni vodka sauce which was very good.

“Best bang for your buck”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014 via mobile

Huge portions for very fair prices. Penne Vodka or Arrabiata is outstanding. Their pizza is also well above average, especially the chicken slice. The food is usually ready in minutes and their delivery is very fast as we'll. We usually do take out as the food is much better than the "ambiance", but they do have a few tables to eat at, but no waitstaff. All in all if you need a quick bite that is a great value Luigis is a safe bet.

“AMAZING!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2013

Stopped here after a very long day walking in the city. The place is kinda cafe like with plastic chairs and no waiter service. Good place to fill up at lunch. We completely over ordered, portions are huge but it was all amazing. Huge slice of pizza, honestly the best caprese salad I've ever had, great garlic bread. Huge meat balls. I loved this place. Bill was very cheap for NY city location. I just wish this place was licenced as a glass of wine would have washed this down a treat.
