Initially, you walk up to what looks like a horrible pawn shop and go through to the most stunning room.

It was a Saturday night and the music was great, albeit a bit loud, but a great selection for the few hours we were there.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and helped with some recommendations, we even asked for seconds on some of our dishes!

The food is simply divine, if you go grab the steak tartar and the Jagermeister ribs - yes I said Jagermeister ribs!

After a 3 course meal, we went upstairs for drinks and a boogie and the music continued to be great until the small ours of the morning!

Off memory our total bill was about $150 per person for 4 of us, well worth it!

The atmosphere and general ambience of this uniquely styled restaurant made the visit at the end of December very worthwhile. The service was informative and attentive without being too obtrusive. To be honest the food was almost secondary to the restaurant itself although the food was well prepared and tasty - bigger New York portions would have been nice but overall a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend it to everyone visiting New York

Loved this restaurant. We seemed to hit on great choices. The turkey meatballs were excellent. Lobster tacos excellent. Salmon was really tasty. Duck special was fantastic. Service was great. This is a hot spot with very nicely dressed mostly younger patrons in their late 20's and 30's. Enjoyed the signature tiny donuts for dessert.

True, it was New Year's Eve and yes, it's very trendy, hip and busy. However, be warned! You will be fighting with the loudest music we have ever encountered outside of a night club. With hard surfaces everywhere, the added noise from the flocks of diners and those at a very noisy bar made it absolutely impossible to hear each other (or the waitress) even though the table was small and the seating intimate. The food is excellent, but we each had to order the same courses (perhaps as a New Year "special"). We (and the couple at a table beside us) left early and had to forego dessert and the New Year countdown because it was so uncomfortable to stay any longer. If you want good, loud dance music with the decibels turned up, go to a night club or indeed, come here. But......if you want to enjoy good food and company, avoid this truly awful place. Might suit under 30s whose tolerance of screaming at each other over dinner is better than ours.
