We booked the Gilded Age tour and Kevin was our guide, and we’d highly recommend booking that or any of the other tours with NY Historical Tours.
It was absolutely fascinating, and the city’s history really came alive along the walk. Kevin was very knowledgeable, and was quite accommodating to our group as well. We had a few places to stop and sit, he took some family photos of us, and gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our day.
We can’t wait to book another tour with them!

Each time I visit New York I consider taking a personalized private history tour. I have have even gone as far as to inquire at NYU looking for a true historian. Somehow this week, I got lucky with a quick google search. I called New York Historical Tours and Kevin answered. After a few minutes on the phone, I felt hopeful, if not confident. I could tell I had reached an intellectual with a personality. Kevin was full of interesting historical data but he translated it with adept storytelling. My group ranged in age and interest level. Kevin managed to keep it conversational, memorable and not too date/data heavy. I plan to hire him again on my next trip after I visit the Solomon Guggenheim Museum.

What an amazing experience! We had a wonderful private tour today about the Gilded Age! Kevin was awesome, incredibly knowledgeable! We had so much fun and leaned a lot at the same time. Highly recommend a tour with this company. Made our trip to NYC really special.
