“Lovely restaurant on the east end”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

We always enjoy dinner at the East End Kitchen. The menu is varied and all ingredients are fresh. The staff is always pleasant. We are locals and go there often.

“Not really impressed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2014

We were invited for dinner here. The atmosphere is nice, but I was not swept away by the food. My starter (fried artichokes) was quite greasy and plain. My main dish was really nothing special.
Service was not bad, but could have been a lot better.
I would not go back here.

“Horrible”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2014

Although the food tasted good the service was horrible. The manager was very rude to us and appeared to be having a nervous breakdown around all the chaos in the dining room.
The server was friendly but overwhelmed by the lack of organization and it took too long to get our meal done properly.
The decor is very nice.
This should be a much better experience

“A Gem off East End”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013

I've lived in this restaurant challenged neighborhood for over 40 years and was very sad to see Le Boeuf shuttered a few years ago. I then was delightead to see EEK open in its place, but upon initial visits was somewhat disappointed. All that changed last evening. The restaurant was bustling, the food and service excellent, and EEK is now our 'go to' restaurant. I had the seafood pot pie, which was outstanding, but unfortunately on the 'specials' menu. I hope it returns as a regular item, as I am sure I will.

“Relaunched neighborhood bistro on upper east side, well done!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013 via mobile

Restaurant struggled at its inception but has found its way and niche, UES neighborhood spot with well done straightforward fare in pleasant setting, stopped on Sunday evening, pleasantly crowded with nice specials. Big turnaround, will visit again
