So, a number of live shows that tour often stop by my home city, so when in NY, I have a chance to pick and choose which ones to see. e.g. Wicked, Book of Mormon all tour in other cities. This is one where the stage setup is part of the show so it won't be travelling anytime soon.

Music: average; story: average - we've all seen it before - so it is a bit tedious.
The most exciting thing is the live stunts near the end of the show. Otherwise it is quite slow.
Carvey's voice is like Bono, and the music is quite U2 ish.

If you have kids (boys) then they would enjoy this. If you are looking for a great musical.... you should look elsewhere.

Don't buy full price, when booking you can see that 2 weeks before the show 40% of seats are still empty. Book with a significant discount ahead of time, or do the same day tickets.

Highly enjoyed this show with my boyfriend. The acrobatics were amazing, recommend sitting in the flying circle for the best view. Set was amazing. Fun show to see.

the best parts are those in which spiderman flies, but there are not many. The music is barely average, the story all too well known and the musical contains portions that get tedious. And of course, like most things on Broadway, it is overpriced. Balcony and mezzanine seats are better than patio.

We went to this show, despite the poor reviews thinking, really how bad could it be? It is making a ton of money, playing to full houses. Well, it might be worse than the reviews. The production design is awful, and the costume design for the villains is straight out of the Power Rangers. The flying is impressive, but still, it is clearly done on very visible rigs, so not much mystery or magic there. Don't waste your $$, there are plenty of of other family friendly shows to choose from that won't disappoint.

This is well staged and you, and your kids, will love this. Good staging, acrobatics etc. You can even log into their website afterwards to see if you have been captured in the audience shots where Spidey was flying abut.

The only negative was the songs actually. Bono and the Edge of U2 wrote them, so they are kind of rock opera rhyming couplets rather than dramatic broadway show numbers. Some of the music was downright bizarre if truth be told!

But it is a good show, well staged and sung. I just wish there were some memorable songs!
