We were delighted with our stay at the Library Hotel. From walking in the door and meeting Jessica at the front desk, until departure after a great complimentary breakfast. Jessica was most helpful in getting us the info for all our destinations, from food to museums. Our room was refreshingly well air conditioned under extreme heat outside. The happy hour, while brief for us as we were on our way out, was elegant. All the staff here are fabulous but the 2nd floor staff in the common room were even more gracious. I was surprised to see nobody leaving a small tip on the table but that may be the many different cultures that stay here. Then we topped it off with their roof top bar. Lovely. We will always try to stay here in the future.

Room Tip: For 2 people, I suggest you upgrade to the queen or king size room. We faced the side street and it was quiet.

Very nice room, though small, the facilities are well maintained. Enjoyed the choice of books and the several places to relax. Friendly, helpful staff. One of the best continental breakfasts I have had anywhere. Was pleasantly surprised to find umbrella, bathrobe and slippers in the closet. Even the candy with the turn down service had a library message.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May this year after not being able to get into their sister hotel Casablanca, we were not disappointed. The room was not too small and had all the amenities required, lovely and modern. When we walked in a bottle of bubbly was on the table with an anniversary card which was unexpected and such a lovely touch. The wine and food provided at 5pm for guests did mot disappoint, we went all three nights. Breakfast has a variety of choice for everyone and we had ample to keep us from getting hungry until late afternoon. We did go to the rooftop bar which is open to the public but although vey modern we found it a bit too dark. One of our concerns was the public use the lift to get to the bar and can get out onto any of the guest floors. We do think this is a security risk, no room key is needed to access the lift as in other hotels we have stayed in. This hotel is in a great location on Madison and fifth and is near to Bryant park. Would recommend to stay here and will return.

I booked the Library Hotel based on its proximity to a wedding I was going to, that it was cute, and that it was priced reasonably... and I'm SO glad I did. A continental breakfast is included until 10am, there is a wine and cheese "reception" every day from 4pm to 8pm (I can't remember exact times so this is approximate), and in the meantime, the coffee, tea and espresso machine plus snacks are available 24 hours a day. It's adorable, it's clean, it smells nice (no old musty hotel smell here!), and I like the rooftop bar. It has books that you can read located all throughout the hotel, naturally, and they have a library of DVDs that you can borrow from. Each room has a DVD player. I loved the bathroom. It's a great location. It's a great hotel. I REALLY recommend it!!!

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay in every way. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. Our needs were well anticipated. The room was immaculate and daily service exceptional. The "Reading Room" served as a focal point for our visit with other family members, providing beverages, pasteries, and fruit in a quiet, relaxed setting. The location was perfect for easy access to the rest of the city. Best of all we enjoyed the themed decor and ambiance.
