“Excellent Stay”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

I stayed here for 1 night for business. The location great being just a few blocks from times square and not far from grand central station. I booked the AAA rate and was upgraded to a suite. I wish I was staying longer as the room was excellent. John at the front desk gave great service. I was allowed to check in at 2 instead of my 3 pm check in time. He also offered me water after I checked out. The room I had was very similar to the pictures online, nice hardwood and large windows.

Not that any of the following hampered my stay, but here are a few places for improvement.
The hallways are dark and feel outdated especially compared to the rooms and lobby.
It would of been nice to have both Firm and soft pillows on the bed. The ones I had were far to soft and I didn't feel like calling to ask for a firmer pillow.

If you have a chance to stay here and it is in your budget, I suggest you choose Brant Park Hotel.

We had a wonderful escape to The Bryant Park Hotel for our 10th Anniversary this past weekend. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do: the MOMA and taking in a show. The hotel exceeded our high expectations (based on other reviews and reviewing the hotel website). It was stylish, elegant, comfortable, and a true escape. But, most of all, we really appreciated the sincerely helpful, highly professional people who took care of us. From the first email contact we received from Robert, the excellent restaurant recommendations and reservations provided by Sarah, and Ryan at the Front Desk who upgraded our room and called when it was ready early. (Everyone at the front desk, bell desk, front door, was great. We don't remember all the names). The champagne (even better, an excellent Prosecco) on ice with the Anniversary note and balloon from Robert pushed it over the top.

We would highly recommend your hotel to anyone visiting, or just looking to escape. Truly, one of the best hotel experiences we have had!

Thank you for your 5 star review! I couldn’t wait to share it with the entire Bryant Park Hotel family. Your mention of Robert, Sarah and Ryan were very much appreciated. I am very lucky to have such a great team. Happy Anniversary once again and I hope you come back soon. Darren dsumner@bryantparkhotel.com

The hotel is in an historic 1920s building, but has been completely renovated. Rooms are spacious and spotless. Staff is friendly and helpful. Upper floor park views are stunning. Its right in the heart of midtown, with Times Square and Herald Sq within easy walking.

The goth themed cellar bar serves free drinks to guests 5-6pm and is a hopping club all night, every night. Bartenders are hot chicks in tight coursettes.

Hotel is amazing, with the slight catch that the price tag is big. But, for the service and location, its to be expected.

Having a park next to your hotel is good. When it's Bryant Park it is even better. Combine that with hotel staff like Eric and Chase and you've got a winner. We spent our tenth anniversary there on a four-day vacation and could not have had a better time. Bryant Park across the street is a gem with its French-inspired layout and casual eating and drinking areas.
Makes the hotel easier to find when the streets all look the same! Thanks to Darren the manager for a wonderful time!

Room Tip: Higher up the better to reduce the traffic noise.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They call an elevator for you and in 3 days I never rode an elevator with anyone else. It's like your own private hotel. I don't know how they do that!

The room was exactly what I needed. Just don't open the curtains because the illusion of luxury is then blown. Keep them closed and you're in your own private oasis. Hardwood floors are wonderful and next to each side of the bed are white slippers if you require them. Each room seems like it is located in its own little private alcove of the floor. Nice from top to bottom.

Location, service and comfort...the Bryant Park has it all. If you stay there around Christmas you'll be within walking distance of some of the main sights. Times Square is only 5 minutes away, Rockafeller Center is only 10 minutes away and you'll have the Bryant Park skating rink and market on your doorstep.
Despite being in the city that never sleeps you'll find the rooms very comfortable and quiet, even with our park facing room.

Great place to stay in New York!

Great hotel. Location is excellent for any midtown event. We had tickets to the Letterman show and this was easily within walking distance. It is just a few blocks from Times Square and the Bryant Park across the street is a little gem with a vibrant feel. More importantly the staff at the Bryant Park Hotel is top notch. We had a slight issue at check in, but it was taken care of quickly and professionally. Other than that, our stay was flawless. We will be going back the next time we need a place to stay in midtown!!!

Room Tip: Our room was on the backside of the hotel. Very quiet.
