We often visit NYC, this is the first time we stayed in this area, usually we stay near Times Square. The hotel is really lovely, big welcoming lobby with friendly staff and sitting areas with great views. Our room was huge with a separate living room, enormous bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The staff was great, Carlos the concierge had lots of recommendations that worked out well. Nino, and I hope I am spelling his name correctly, saw that we had everything we needed from cabs to extra water bottles, anything we needed was provided promptly. The housekeeping staff really excels. Our room was cleaned twice a day, turn down service with chocolates, lots of big fluffy towels, and they were all friendly. It is a quiet area with much less noise and bustle. We tried the subway for the first time and found it fast, inexpensive and quite clean. Lovely views of the Statue of Liberty. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a Statue of Liberty view room

Ritz Carlton is always a pleasant experience, but Service is what separates them from any other hotel. I have come to expect quality at the Ritz, so the review should not suprise anyone, but the service I found at the Ritz set a standard that will forever be difficult to top.

Driving home from our vacation from Stowe VT was a real challenge. Weather was terrible traffic was miserable, and we were several hours behind schedule. It was very late, My children needed to eat and get to bed. I needed a hotel capable of handling a lot of particular demands including bringing my own crib for a child, and an SUV loaded with suitcases... all of which needed to go to the room just for a night. We arrived after 1000 at night, the children were already asleep in the car... I needed them up and in the rooms, dinner delivered, suitcases moved and crib brought to the room and assembled.

As expected the Ritz came through. I explained my needs to the front desk on the phone before arrival. When I got there, the bell staff was waiting and moved quickly. The car was emptied, and moved to our room without delay while I checked in. They figured out how to assemble the crib and had it ready when we arrived at the room. Room service was waiting for our order and meals were delivered quickly.

I could not have done this without the extrordinary service of Ritz Carlton.

Great choice if you are planning to visit the Statue of Liberty, Wall St. or other lower Manhattan attractions. Very friendly staff and you can get rooms with a view of the statue. The only bump was our room wasn't ready at 5:30pm so they allowed the entire family to enjoy drinks and food on the house while we waited. Worked out ok as we were tired after a day of touring so relaxing for 20 min. with cold drinks wasn't a big deal. Family friendly with cookies and milk delivered up for the kids at no charge. Also walking distance to Battery Park and 1 World Trade aka the Freedom Tower. First time at a RC so can't really compare to other properties. Would return.

The Ritz-Carlton in Battery Park is elegant, well managed, and is everything a Ritz-Carlton should be. The Club floor rooms with Liberty views are sized generously, the beds and bedding are extremely comfortable, room service is the fastest I've ever experienced in a hotel anywhere around the world. The Club floor breakfast and hors-d'oeuvres were delicious, varied, and abundant. Management needed to be strongly cajoled to allow our two additional party members to be allowed to eat on the Club floor free of charge, never mind that we were roomed at the hotel. Staff could have been friendlier towards the children rather than turning their nose up. Overall, a great place to stay for the views and the experience of NYC with family, if you are accustomed to luxe accommodations and hotel amenities.

Room Tip: Rooms 1125-1127 are perfect and quiet. Rooms on the Club floor near the sitting area may be busier a...

My wife and I went to NYC to cheer on a friend for her swim around Manhattan. This was our first time staying at this location and we will be hard pressed to stay uptown again. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The housekeeping in particular , was just wonderful. From morning room service, to our evening turndown, we were met at all times with courtesy and a smile. The doorman were very helpful in obtaining cars for us. I will be staying here next month for our anniversary.

Room Tip: We had a corner suite with a view of the Statue of Liberty...very cool.

We recently brought our boys (ages 9 &13) to NYC for some sightseeing and also for a Yankee Game. I decided to book a room at the Ritz since it seemed easy to get to from the highway and also located close by to the #4 train for heading to the game. I must say, we were extremely pleased with the hotel. It was our first time staying at a Ritz, and the hotel didn't disappoint.
Outstanding customer service from start to finish! Many people write in about this particular hotel not following the lead of other Ritz's. Honestly, the staff couldn't have been more attentive and polite. Irma from Concierge was kind enough to walk outside of the building with our family to make sure we knew which direction we headed for breakfast! We did have breakfast one morning at the hotel restaurant, which was superb. After long days around Manhattan, it was a pleasure returning to our hotel located in such a quiet and beautiful part of the city. We paid extra for the water view....Amazing views of the Hudson and Lady Liberty with a telescope for viewing! We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: spring for the water view!!

Me and hubby stayed at Ritz (Battery Park) for the first time ever August 10th. And it was phenomenal. We were welcome to the hotel a little earlier and then spent the day out and about.
Try the place name "cucina liberta" wow amazing food. Breakfast. Lunch, dinner. Iced vanilla chai tea.
After going to century 21 and walking through little Italy and Chinatown. And getting bubble tea. We went to the hotel again and we were surprised by a nice bottle of wine and a very nice card from Rori from front desk. She is amazing. Such a great person. She was happy and her customer service was amazing! she really went above and beyond :) We met her and thank her in person before going out for a walk again right there in the park across from the hotel. Beautiful place to talk and relax.
I would def. come back if God allows it and we get the chance to do so.
Parking tip: park around hotel. Ir use hotel valet parking. Too many tourists in the area and constructions.
Room tip: harbor view was amazing :) such a great experience.
