We arrived 11 people without a reservation but were told that they'd be ready for us in 10 minutes. We were 6 adults and 5 children, some of whom were at this point rather jet-lagged. The wait was maybe 15 minutes and we couldn't really sit in the bar, but we were then seated at a long bench (separate chairs on the opposite side). We placed our orders and then waited quite a while. It should be noted that, as the children were tired, this wait may have felt longer for us adults.
BUT: when the sushi arrived it turned out to be worth waiting for. It was delicious and there was enough for everybody.
I was initiallt very sceptical due to the proximity to Times Square, and thought this might be a real tourist trap, but it was nothing but. Only praise from here.
