Very good variety of Italian traditional plates, made with very level of products.

This small restaurant of about 20 seats have a very good wine list at very reasonable prices.

The must try plates are: La Bisteca and the Spaghettis with Meat Balls.

Right out of the movie Eat, Pray, Love! It is an inviting ambience that is both romantic and relaxing. You can sit at the bar comfortably or at the high back chairs around the tables of 4. This is not a place for large parties though. However, to have a private party here would be something and take over the place completely.

Wow- now the food we ordered was all shared, it was explosive flavors that were just the simplest of ingredient so perfectly paired and prepared. The pasta was clearly homemade and perfectly cooked. The selections met all our palates from a non-red meat eater to a meat lover. We are planning our trip back again! Oh, the price for 4 with a bottle of Nebbiolo 2009, I think 9 different assorted shared dishes (pastas with and without fish and meats), salads, and then 2 separate glasses of wine was $200 with tip. In NYC, that is fantastic. We left stuffed and the last two pastas we did not need, but LOVED. Main pasta dishes are about $15. The wine selection is fabulous starting at high $30's and into the $40's with a great selection and then for the collectors, there are great high-end choices.

This is an absolutely wonderful cozy neighborhood place. I stopped in for brunch and was blown away by the deliciousness of my meal. I had a beautifully prepared wild mushroom omelette. The brunch comes with an overflowing bread basket, which I really wanted yo take home. Everyone knows everyone there, it is very friendly and warm. There are books and magazines to peruse in you are dining solo, or just watching the world entertains. The owner is delightful. There were also some beautiful pastas on the brunch menu, all freshly made, as is all their food. I will be back, often.

This is a cozy wine bar frequented by a Manhattan-based cousin, and we were blown away by how great the food is. My husband's parents were from Italy, so we know that cuisine -- and this just might have been the best Italian food we've ever had. Try to get the grilled calamari -- not on the menu, but tender and fantastic. Lasagna was creamy and exquisite, tortellini was fabulous, and that little fried sage leaf in the Fritto Misto might be my new favorite food. Don't leave before getting a Scroppino (lemon sorbet, vodka and prosecco)!
