“Great Cheese Shop - Fun Visit”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

While walking through the flatiron section of New York, my wife and I ran across Beecher's Handmade Cheese shop. The shop had a fantastic variety of cheese. We enjoyed watching them make cheese in the large vat. We did not stay to eat in their restaurant but walked away with a wedge of their "Flagship" cheese. It did not last long.

“Picnic style seating for those young at heart and back”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Excellent value happy hour to go with your slightly expensive Mac and cheese. Fun thing to do with a group,of friends but you are sitting at picnic style tables. Stick to the cheeses to get the best tastes. Meat portions were skimpy and vegetables were average. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive.

“Cheese Heaven! TRY THE "WORLD FAMOUS" MAC & CHEESE!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

We to the downstairs lounge for dinner and drinks celebrating a friend's birthday. At first you think, "We're going for dinner at a CHEESE SHOP?!?" But once you arrive and feel the cozy lounge atmosphere, you'll start to change your tune. Then you try your first handmade cocktail, you're almost convinced. At last, you order their "World Famous" mac & cheese!!! INSANE! The best I've ever eaten. The only complaint, a small one, is it's a bit salty, but nevertheless, you'll love it.
We also tried the meatballs (GREAT!), some of the flatbreads (also very good), and a bunch of different mac and cheeses. You can't go wrong with these American basics. The whiskey and bourbon drink concoctions are very, very good. Go there and enjoy some quality food and drinks with some friends.

As European you know what it mean to eat very good cheese .this place THE BEECHER'S.
know exactly the quality of offering good quality cheese.
The restaurant could be on a better standard. Bowls and plates instead of plastic.the service is excellent. Always good to buy cheese and have a great evening with a nice glad of wine.

“Cheese greatness!”
Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

Visited in the evening for food and cocktails and was very impressed. The cocktails are great - quite strong and very tasty.

Were shared a cheese tasting platter. You got crackers different cheeses and accompaniments to suit each cheese. All were great and the waitress explained what every cheese was when she brought it over.

We each had a cheese pasta bake. They were delicious - especially the balsamic and mushroom one. They are very rich so unless you are all starving, i'd suggest getting two or three to share rather than one each.

The atmosphere was great, waitresses lovely, and food amazing... If you like cheese that is. I'd come back again and again!
