“The homemade cornbread is excellent.”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

I took my boyfriend here for a surprise dinner the evening before Thanksgiving. The Risotto was exceptional which was a wonderful surprise b/c we make our own at home so we are picky. The cornbread is delicious as well. I had a salad off the menu which was average but we enjoyed a cozy dinner. I'm sure it's much more lively however b/c is was the night before a holiday, it was very slow...but we liked that part!!

“We stumbled upon this cafe”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

This cafe/restaurant was just around the corner from a condo 8 ladies rentd for a week of Christmas shopping and sightseeing and found this GREAT restaurant. One individual who is a gourmet cook said her pork shank was to die for. Everything came out hot and "as advertised". I had the Tuscan salad and mushroom risotto instead of a formal entree and couldn't have been more satisfied. The Server made our day. We ran out of time or we would have been back. Not for children.

“Great food in Hells Kitchen”
Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

Found Pier 9 thru Groupon and was amazed at the food and service. My fiancé had Salmon with lentils and it came served in a white wine foam. It's was delicious and equally gorgeous. I had the Roasted chicken and the skin was crispy and the flesh moist and tasty. The broccoli rabe was great. The potions are huge and left us no room for dessert. Anna was our server and she was fantastic. We will be back.

“Delightful find”
Reviewed December 7, 2012 via mobile

We stumbled upon this restaurant one night as we were walking north on 9th Avenue. Quite a delightful find. The three of us decided to share several appetizers, and none disappointed. The menu offered an interesting variety for my pescaterian friends. The lobster mac and cheese was great, as were the rice balls stuffed with mushrooms. The prices were quite reasonable. They have a limited but sufficient wine list. There was an interesting mix of people in the restaurant, and it had a "neighborhoody" feel. Our servers were very pleasant and attentive. We will definitely return to try the entrees.
