What a treat! My husband and I loved it!
Food was delicious. We had the pizza italiana, Fiocchi with truffle oil, sea bass and Osso Bucco .
The service was attentive and quick.
No complaints.
Best place in NYC to eat.

“Good food, but overpriced and poor atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

No question that the food was tasty.
But the lobster tail was very small.
The prices were quite high.
And they should be embarrassed to serve a tiramisu that one needed a magnifying glass to find.

When we arrived, we were given quite a hassle about not having reservations.
At the time, the place was practically empty. Nor did it become full during the time we were there.
We told them how we had called several times during the afternoon and that there was no answer.
They said that they didn't open until 4PM. But the website said they opened at 12.
So, they insisted on arguing about that.

The experience was also rather poor due to the other patrons.
I can't say that there is anything about the restaurant that draws a bad crowd.
But it was just weird how everyone from a 15 year old girl to a man in his 60s all acted like they've never been out in public before -- screaming and carrying on to the point where 2/3 of the people should have been asked to leave.

“Good restaurant close to Times Square”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

Ceci's is a small Italian restaurant that looks like a neighborhood bar as you walk in but has maybe 15 tables in back. I had a fried calamari appetizer with a chipotle glaze that was incredibly light. It was nearly a tempura batter and the glaze was nice. Main dish was linguine con vongale which had very fresh clams and a nice white sauce. The bread was better then most, tasted if it was either wood or coal fired oven that it was baked in. With a glass of chianti the meal came to $60 with tip, not cheap but New York reasonable.

“Great Veal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

This place is almost right across from Via Italia on 46th. We ate here on our second and final night in NYC.

We had the Veal and wife had a pizza. Both were delicious. The pizza was a thin crisp crust. Not like the floppy stuff they have everywhere else in NYC. Service was great and we would happily eat here again.

“Going to the theater ? Fill up here first!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Our third visit here, and each meal reminds us to return again. Tonight we split the egg plant rollitini appetizer . Cooked perfect, excellent red sauce and cheese combo. I had the shrimp scampi over linguini. Six jumbo meaty shrimp, grilled perfectly over linguini. My wife had the trout francese, excellent francese sauce, lightly breaded ...yummy.both entrees 23 bucks, very, very reasonable for midtown dinner. We used a 29.00 groupon for both, but wouldn't have a problem with the menu price. We had Yana as our waitress all three visits, very professional, very pleasant, highly effeciant. The owner or manager ? Marchelo is the nicest man. Very friendly and a real bonus to the restaurant. Try it, you'll like it!
