My Wife and I have just returned from a 6 night stay in this great hotel. It is only a short walk away from the action in Times Square and the Theater district. The staff here really make you feel important, people like Barbara Los, Lauren Vitale, Irvana Kotapka and David Gomez really go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible. Our room was really clean comfortable well decorated and much bigger than we expected for NY. The bed was so comfortable that we found it difficult to get out of each morning. We would certainly reccomend this hotel to any one looking for a great place to stay. Not the cheapest but cetrtainly good value for your hard earned money.

Room Tip: The higher the better

It was my first time at the Muse. The occasion was my annual father & son weekend. My son, who's thirteen was welcomed by the hotel and it's staff.

The room was very large (for NYC), clean, the shower had good pressure and our beds were also quite comfortable.

The hotel is part of the Kimpton chain (it's a sister property to the Nine Zero in Boston, pls see my review). It's on 46st Street and the taxi arriving from 7th/Broadway can't turn left on the street. I would say that's the biggest issue, since the taxi will either leave on the corner or have to go 2 avenues further to come down 46st and leave you at the front door. Either way, that's a hassle.

On the plus side, this location offered us the chance to go to Time Square by feet and be amazed by the scenery at night.

I will go back the NYC and stay at a Kimpton, but I will probable stay at another of their properties, simply because I like other neighborhoods. But if you want to be close to Time Square and Broadway, it's a very good choice. Over the years I've stayed at the Millenium, the Sofitel, the Marriot and the Royalton, all in the same areas. All things considered, my favorites were the Muse and the Sofitel.

My husband and I stayed at The Muse Hotel on West 46th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues from 26th Sept until 1st October 2012 and cannot fault this hotel nor its staff.

We stayed in room 511 and although you do not have a view (it is New York after all), the room was fantastically decorated, very modern and very clean. The only thing wrong with this room is the noise from outside. It starts from very early about 7am and it sounds like the dustmen are coming down the street banging and crashing....but we don't know what the cause of it was. However, if you are up and out early seeing the sights, this shouldn't matter.

I'd had liaisons via email before our arrival about which restaurants were best and also which bars as my husband and I were out there visiting friends and also to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Sarah Rosenberg was very helpful and even booked us a table at Beauty & Essex for the Saturday evening to celebrate.

On our arrival, we immediately ditched our bags and headed out to see the sights as this hotel is slap bang on Times Square and Broadway so it was right in the middle of everything. When we came back to the room, we had an anniversary card, beautiful red roses, truffles, a chocolate yellow taxi with The Muse Hotel written on the side and a lovely bottle of delicious Prosecco waiting for us. We were thrilled.

The staff were very gracious and the doormen would hail you a taxi outside the hotel should you need it.

Every evening between 5pm and 6pm in the bar/reception, there would be a Wine Tasting where you could taste differents wines and sit and chat. You can even take the wine back to your room to assist you getting ready (and which we did everyday) and the wine is complimentary.

This is a trendy boutique hotel in the heart of the city, not far from all the main attractions.

One piece of advice, the breakfasts at the hotel are expensive ($18 per person plus 20% tax) so I recommend that you get ready and go to one of the numerous coffee shops or Starbucks' as you'll definitely save money.

If I was ever to go back to New York I would definitely stay at this hotel. Impeccable!!

We loved our time in NYC and it was made all the better thanks to The Muse hotel and staff.

The hotel is lovely and clean. It's a boutique place but not too over the top and retains its comfort.

It's so central too and you couldn't get any better.

Top marks all round...oh and we loved the Facebook interaction when we checked in.

One tiny suggestion though would be to offer bottles of beer at the free 5 I clock wine drinks every day. Sometimes wine is too heavy at 5 in the afternoon !!

Beautiful boutique hotel one block off of Broadway and Time Square. Modern black and white decor with art deco touches. Very spacious for a NYC hotel. You can walk to your pre or post-theater restaurant or theater in10 minutes. Hotel is very "green" and takes pets.

Room Tip: Construction going on across the street at an old church. Beware of noise from construction from ab...

perfect location as its only a stone's throw from times square, we were on 14th floor and it was quiet so had a good nights sleep. bed was very comfortable, room was a good size and not small by new york hotels.staff were very friendly and helpful and we were greeted by the manager several times. nice touch to have coffee and tea in day and evening drinks available in hotel lobby free of charge.only drawback was lack of drawer space in room.would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room.join kimpton in touch scheme to get free wifi
