We were in town recently for the marathon and ate at Patzeria twice -- once for breakfast and once for dinner. The atmosphere at breakfast was cheerful and bustling. We ordered OJ, coffee (diner-style -- only so-so) and full breakfasts. We both had eggs over hard, toast and potatoes. The bacon was good, but my friend had ordered with ham and was expecting more of a real slab of ham. Instead, the ham was more like the thin Oscar Meyer ham. Service was friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere. After doing our first marathon -- we proudly staggered in that evening wearing our medals. The front tables and servers alike broke into applause which set the stage for a very fun evening. Although we had no reservation, the host quickly found us a table in the corner next to the bar. I ordered the Chicken Principessa with asparagus, tomato and mozzarella cheese. The food was tasty, but more than that, we really enjoyed the buzz of the place. The only downside to our particular table was that there was a TV directly over my head, so my friend across the table found it a bit distracting. Then again -- we were up against the bar, so not unexpected. (I personally can't stand TVs in a restaurant but it is sometimes hard to avoid). We would definitely go back!
