Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor looking for a great Itallian restaurant close to the theatre we were going to. Found this one arrived 15 minutes early immediately sat at bar then to our table. Place was crazy busy but everyone was friendly worked as a team for excellent service. Food was amazing!! It was so good we went back on the second night. This time later, restaurant not as busy, still excellent friendly service. Pizza some of the best ever. Highly reccomend this place.

Our granddaughter's trip to New York City took us to the Belvedere Hotel, which happened to be just down the street from The Patzeria Family & Friends Italian Restaurant ; we ate breakfast there one morning and dinner the last night we were in New York. The atmosphere is great, family friendly, staff very friendly and courteous, plus they obviously like being there. The owner has been present each time we ate there and personalized the experience by stopping by to chat, took our pictures, generally made us feel like special guests. The food is wonderful, from salads, real garlic bread, and my linguine with clams the best! Clams still in the shell, yummy. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and my husband, who is an expert on eggplant parmesan, declared it as good as the best he has had. Our granddaughter, age 10, ordered their spaghetti and meatballs, and they provided instead of a child's meal, a lunch portion, which was smaller than the evening meal. She loved it! We were going to a play following dinner so we knew we had a limited amount of time there, we could have spent much more than the hour we had allotted ourselves. All in all, its being the last night in New York City, it was a perfect way to say good-by to New York culinary delights.

So we were going to the city to see a show with 4- 14 year olds. Looking for a restaurant that everyone would like and really didn't want to go to our usual pizza joint. As usual I went on Trip adviser to cross reference a few suggestions. This was not one of the recommendations, but it will be from now on. Made a reservation. When we got there after the show, it looked like a small non-descript place from the outside, I had doubts. From the moment we walked in the door I knew it was the perfect place. We were greeted and seated right away. Everyone was so friendly, and, what I assumed was the owner, made a point to come and chat with us. The girls kept it simple with variations of pasta and marinara sauce. They ate it all. Sauce was sweet and very good. My husband had Chicken Francaise, 2 large pieces of very tender flavorful chicken. I had lobster Ravioli's sauce was perfect compliment to the delicious Ravioli's. Girls saved room for Chocolate Moose Cake, while we had " baked" zeppoli's. Both very good. I saw reviews about the noise level. It was noisy, but didn't make a difference to us. Maybe not a first date place, if you want to chat, or a business dinner, but we loved! Def would like to go back and try some other dishes!

We visited New York in late May, stayed at the Belvedere Hotel and found this brilliant restaurant just a few steps away from the Hotel. Meals were excellent and reasonably priced, service very good and staff very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, there were many choices offered, our favourite meal was the Seafood Spaghetti. The owners always made a point of coming over and speaking to you and showed interest in what our daily activities were. Thank you Lee, Joe, Maria, John (the Barman with the wicked laugh) and Anastasia for your wonderful friendly service, you have given us some great memories of our holiday. We hope to return one day. Judy and John. Adelaide.

Well, it is not a coincidence this restaurant's name contains both the word "friends" and "family" - the moment we stepped in we felt like in the Italian's mom kitchen we never had. The service was very attentive and the owner came over to greet us personally. We came with the extended family and we all enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. The only negative thing I can mention is our waiter who needed us to repeat some of our requests more than once, but for this quality of food and pleasant environment, this was really a minor issue
