We were in New York on Sept labor Day weekend for the US OPENS and decide to watch Fiddler on the Roof. I know nothing about the play but found it charming and easy to pick up and follow. This review is about the theater and not the play.
Nice theater with large wide stage. We were in upper mezzanine and found the view very acceptable. However the Air Conditioning was just crazy. Not a sell out show so we moved three times all around the upper mezzanine but found no relief from the cold and the draft. The ushers know this and admit to always wearing sweaters. They did not turn down the A/C despite multiple patrons making the request.
Anyways, wear long sleeves and a Jacket/sweater and you'll enjoy the play much better.
