“Harry Potter exhibit”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We went to Discovery Times Square to see the Harry Potter exhibit, which may have left by now. However, the exhibit was wonderful. Cost, somewhat pricey! The location is easy to get to, right off Times Square.

“The Boy loved it!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Harry Potter and a spy exhibit entertained an 11 year old boy, but was expensive, commercial and corny.

“Discovery Times - Please Read For Tips To Make Time Enjoyable”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I've found that the best time to visit Discovery Times is.. later in the day after lunch and before dinner. I've made the mistake twice going at opening and that is prime time for many bus groups to be there, as well as passholders. The exhibits are nice but they move you in lines and no matter how they try to space out the crowds - it still makes for a busy walk-through and that is just not enjoyable. So I advise that you not go at opening but in mid-afternoon where I was able to truly view the nice but short exhibits.

Always search online for coupons, you can easily save $5 a ticket. Visit the Georgetown/DC Cupcake Cafe, their cupcakes are out of this world! You can even visit just the cafe whenever you want to, as well. No need to have a ticket.

“Spy Exhibit at Discovery Times Square”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Normally, we don't do a lot (besides the occasional musical) in Times Square when we visit NYC---just too touristy---but my history buff son & I were looking for something different to do while my husband and daughter did some shopping in Soho. Luckily, we read about this interesting exhibit at Discovery on 44th Street. Virtually everyone else was going to the Harry Potter exhibit so our side of things was unhurried and relaxed. Definitely spring for the headsets as the audio tour adds a ton of information you won't get just by reading the exhibit information. While younger children will be amazed at the tools that have been used by spies over the centuries (really), the bulk of the exhibit is geared toward older teens and adults. We found it fascinating. You will learn not only an overview of espionage history but also have the opportunity to listen to agents discuss their experiences, learn about some actual cases of espionage and more. Great!

“Spy Exhibit is Awesome - Give Yourself at Least Three Hours”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

This review is only for the Spy exhibit - we didn't visit Harry Potter. We found this was well worth the money. Our only regret was that we didn't have enough time. We arrived about one hour before closing, so crowds were relatively light. The exhibits were very informative and somewhat interactive as well. There are films, good explanations behind the exhibits, interactive videos, and many objects one can see up close. They cover a wide range of spy topics, including World War II, Cold War, and even more recent spy-related developments. Overall completely worth your time and money.
