Went to see the Chinese Terra Cotta Soldier exhibit over the summer. It was interestng and had enough content. However, the admission price was high considering you could see one of NY's many large museums for as much. I did go on a Groupon and therefore got a fair deal at half price.

We took in the Spy Exhibit last trip to New York and it was very interesting. Lots of World War II and Cold War artifacts. Being of a certain age, I remember when some of the events happened and it was interesting to see the behinds the scene stories of these events. But even if you don't remember the events, it is very interesting to see how intelligence is gathered, the gadgets, such as mini cameras and hidden weapons that were used, and how spy rings are infiltrated and broken up. Discovery can be a little pricey, so look for a Groupon or other discount before you go and use the savings to get some cheesecake at Juniors down the street when you are done.

This place is right in the middle of things, has a great website to make reservations and check things out. The exhibit I went to see was very interesting and you can buy an self-guided audio tour that enhances your experience.

Visited Discovery Times Square last year for the Harry Potter and Pompei exhibit.
Being able to combine both exhibits for a reduced prices proved a good value for a great experience.
We visited on the last week of the Harry Potter exibit, and even though the place was packed the wait time was not too long and the staff handled the crowd very well.
There was enough time to see all the items on display and enjoy the experience

Accessible is best feature. Convinced my son to join me....when is Mom likely to travel to China to see the real thing? He took the bait. There are some replica warriors - see if you can guess which ones. it was interesting - agree tickets are pricey especially compared to local museums which house far greater collections (but not the terracotta warriors). DTS brings the exhibit to the masses. Beware of visiting on days with school trips - or summer camps. We visited King Tut exhibit on a school day and it was sheer mayhem - made the visit not so enjoyable. I will go again depending on what they bring in. I often have time to kill in the mid-town area and the size of the exhibit gives you something to do for a few hours. You have to check your bags so do your shopping AFTER the exhibit rather than leave valuable merchandise in the bag check area.
