“Fresh and Flavorful”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

Saw this on Yelp and TripAdvisor so had to check it out. Very small, but very good food at a reasonable price. Had to wait about 30 minutes at 1pm on a Sunday. Tables are next to each other and there is seating at a bar down the wall. (Not good for large groups!) Had Vegetable Spring Roll appetizer. Very fresh. Also had the Ratchaburi Crab and Pork Dry Noodles. Delicious. Spouse had the Wok Ginger Curry with Calamari...perfectly hot at a medium.

“Fantastic Thai, inexpensive and fresh”
Reviewed February 14, 2014

I have been to Pure Thai in the past. You need to know right up front that this is not a fancy dinner restaurant. This is a place you go to have great casual. Thai food. The seating is cramped, the tables are small and you sit on stools, not chairs. They dont serve wine, only beer and soft drinks. The service is good and fast. If you want to eat and go, this is a great place. Two of us had a rice plate and we shared a beer and spring rolls and the cost was $35 with out tip, so very economical. It is on 9th ave near 51st.

“Small and Wonderful”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

Very good Thai food in a small space. We went after a show and were seated at a communal table at the back. We didn't care; you meet great people that way. Two orders of Pad Thai and chicken satay. The pad thai was served in a generous bowl with lots of meat. The satay was four skewers served with peanut sauce. Everything was fresh and delicious. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

“Great place”
Reviewed February 12, 2014 via mobile

Found Pure thai thanks to Tripadvisor & we totally loved this food experience. It's thai food from north Thailand so they dont have the typical paneng curry. Fun to eat something else. Tasted the basil chicken, so good! Awesome prices, friendly staff, cozy place. Totally worth a visit!

“Best Thai ever”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

Let me start by saying that my first introduction to Thai food was 1981. Home cooking by friends who were transplants from Chiang Mai and Bangkok to my home town. I have searched for food THAT well prepared and authentic in restaurants since then. Always too sweet, mild, Americanized. Pure Thai Shophouse (Chophouse) serves fresh, flavorful, not your run of the mill food in a very casual atmosphere at super prices ($7- $12 for most dishes) also beer & wine. A gem.
