“Excellent authentic Thai at good price--great theatre district choice”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Tried this several times and both very good and very good value--esp for NYC 2013. Most like the Thai food I had in Thailand than other NY/SF places. Arrive early to avoid the crush--very small place tho it does move fast--they are open all afternoon so you can go anytime. First time I went we were only non-Thai people there. Very pleasant service. Good place for date--unusually cool atmosphere and food. Unusual noodle choice and a small set of Thai standards all very good. Excellent versions of standards Green Papaya Salad, Seafood Salad (like a ceviche). "Medium spicy" is plenty spicy. The desserts if they have them are also worth a try and of course a bottle of Singh Ha. Good choice if you're going to theatre however go early to avoid the rush.

“True Thai Noodle”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

It is not easy to find the original true Thai noodle in this country. This restaurant offers authentic Thai noodle and other Thai food. The restaurant is small. You have to wait for awhile, but it's worth it. The service is quick. Once you sat down, your food will be on the table quickly. The people who work there very nice, friendly and helpful. If you don't know much about food, make sure to ask them.

“Good food in stylish setting”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

This restaurant has great food and kind staff. I liked the interiordesign though one could say that it could have been a European restaurants interior as well. Nevertheless the place was crowded with Thai people, which to me is always a good sign and indeed the food tasted like in Thailand.

“May be the best Thai in Manhattan”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

Right up there among the best Thai options in Manhattan. Great noodles, very good value, service is quick and efficient. Can get very crowded but lines move quickly. Spicy means spicy!

“A Lot of Hype”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

This restaurant is good but honestly, I don't understand the hype. First off its located in the very glamorous Hell's Kitchen area which is apparently a mecca for Thai food now so if you do try this place out, pay attention to signage so you don't accidentally end up at the wrong Thai restaurant. The restaurant is very small and lined with about 10 cramped tables and a row of single seats. Not exactly an ideal spot for large parties. The service was great and also very prompt. As far as the food goes, it was good but it was not authentic Thai. I ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls which were very ordinary and also the Wok Chili Tumeric with Beef which was labeled as being the spiciest thing on the menu. The waiter cautioned that it was "Thai spicy" and I advised him that was fine. He again offered to adjust it to medium and I again told him I could handle it. The dish came out prepared with snap peas and asparagus in a delicious brown sauce and I liked that it was prepared with good sirloin and not chopped up beef but it was not that spicy! To me proper Thai food ignites your mouth on fire but its so good you can't stop eating it. I didn't get that feeling. With that being said it is the best Thai food I've had in NYC and props to the traditional Thai restroom complete with "Do not put any paper in the toilet sign". If you happen to be in the theatre district than I recommend in but if not already in the area I wouldn't go out of my way.
