Well organized store. Many smaller stores within a store. Good selection. Multi level store. Decent prices.

We visited the day after the big reveal of the Christmas windows, magical!! Easy to find, the store opens at 10am, this was the best time, not crowded. As soon as you walk in front entrance, the displays are amazing, preparing for Thanksgiving.
Cafe experience ,great coffee, avoid well known franchise. Free WiFi in store.
Plenty of space on every floor, designer names , good prices , had started discounts prior to Black Friday.
Only thing let's the 'magic' down is the restrooms
Recommend a visit, but if looking for toys this is not the store!

Crowds were not too bad....got some great bargains! Went to the 6th floor..they have a cafe there and also a Godiva Bar..had a fantastic parfait...then went to the restaurant and THE best cup of coffee in NYC! My sister had her favorite lemon cello desert.

I was shocked by how rude the staff were when i asked if they had a toys or games section. The first lady i asked, abruptly said no and looked at me like i was stupid. Many tourists come to this store and may not know this. I gave her the benefit of the doubt as i understand some people might just be having a bad day, however, i asked a different member of staff as i walked by the escalators and saw a large stand of lego sets and board games. He was also extremely agitated by my question and said no just go across the road to target! It was cold, rude and in no way how customer should be greeted.

I also went upstairs in the mezzanine to Starbucks to get a hot wrap, I purchased the sandwich, waited at the counter for 15 minutes only to be told they were sold out. She pretended i ordered by mobile and that's where the mix-up was. Even though she saw me order from the counter. She said she would put a refund through and i never received my money back. This is absolutely shocking for the HQ store of Macy's. I will not be recommending anyone to come near this store after such a inhospitable experience. Train your employees to have some level of customer service experience!

Came there to buy cloths, it is huge and there is no real order, hard to find a size or the brand you are looking for. Take your time and just look around and try to get a feel of the place. There are some truly some good bargain to be made.

You can actually play on the big piano from the Tom Hanks movie. There is a sort-of self serve snack bar. You use a kiosk to pick what you want. If you want something from the small c-store, you pick it out and get it yourself. If you want cooked food, then there's a short order cook to take care of that. They also have a tiny FAO store called "Arcade". They have about 30x20 feet of FAO branded toys. Kind of sad to me but at least the brand lives somewhat. This Macy's is massive and of the old timey days of the multi-level department stores. I'm sure its not as large as it once was because there is a lot of commercial office operations above.

With over 9 floors, this place is huge and luckily had a sale on when I was there. The only gripe is the lifts are terrible and you find yourself waiting forever outside or even in the lift to get to your floor

I thought that this department store is far more friendly to shop at than Saks. Though the options for men are very limited, specially the shoes section. And there arent many (if any) high end brands.
