Looking for a place for brunch as we left Central Park, we happened upon Gina's. Decorated in pink and white with tiny tables and chairs in a very crowded and noisy room we sat down. The day before we had been in a very ordinary NYC diner and had a great breakfast. We were given glasses of water and coffee as soon as we sat down. Not so here. Our order was taken quickly but water and coffee were slow to come and I had to ask twice for it. The meal itself was just ordinary and if there was any salad dressing on my salad I couldn't taste it and had to ask for a little container of dressing. We had to ask, and wait, for more coffee. The tables are so close together that we could clearly hear conversations including that of a father and daughter having an intense argument. I just can't recommend this place at all. I'll head for a "dive" next time with better service and food.
