Excellent tour! Our tour guide Andrew went above and beyond. We toured Grand Central Terminal, Central Park, and the Upper West Side.

He was a wealth of information and pointed out so many interesting things.

It was a lot of fun. Highly recommended!

PS. If you're from San Diego and you're visiting NY in January, dress really warm.

We took the private tour with Dan to SoHo, Little Italy, Chinatown, Chelsea Market, Highline and more!
He was so great!
Met us on time at our hotel and was very patient waiting for us to get ourselves organized.
We started out learning the subway from Dan (which helped us so much throughout the rest of our vacation).
Dan was very knowledgeable about the city and knew so many fun details and stories about art and buildings. We felt like we were walking around with a friend.
We would definitely do a tour with Streetwise again!! Loved every minute of it!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! In mid-December (on a very COLD day), Andrew led our small group of four on an amazing walking tour starting at Grand Central Station to the Upper West Side through Central Park and ending at Columbus Circle. Andrew was very well versed in the history, the architecture, and the public art throughout the tour. Having him draw our attention to these things was incredibly insightful and made the experience much more meaningful. He was very accommodating and answered every question our small group had. Also, Andrew was a very authentic and genuine person, which was refreshing, and not the stereotypical tour guide that tries to hard to entertain you. Our group ranged in age from 7 or 8 all the way to 66, and he paced the tour appropriately. It was fast-paced, but we all wanted to see and hear all we could for the morning. An added bonus for us was to learn that this small business was started by friends, and we enjoyed supporting smart entrepreneurs who noticed a niche market opportunity and seized it. Our only regret is that our schedule didn't allow us to take one of the Streetwise tours every morning of our stay.

Sonya, an artist and writer, took our group of 3 from Pod51 Hotel on a complimentary walking tour of Manhattan's meatpacking district. She pointed out art in the subway stop we would have missed, the colour of streets signs (indicating which were heritage streets and which weren't), the iron awnings of the industrial buildings, and how the train tracks (now the High Line walkway) sometimes went straight through a warehouse for easy off-loading. She was smart, friendly, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed it.

Dan was an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of the area was outstanding and he showed a lot of interest in the individual members of the tour. I would take this tour again and use his company in a heart beat.
