From the moment we checked in we were greeted with respect & such a positive demeanor. Exceptionally clean rooms, amazing atmosphere & such a friendly staff. Peter Aron's was so helpful, when we checked in & out he was such a delight. It was such a great time & I don't think it would've been as much fun without him there to help us with where to go, not to mention his professionalism & hospitality.

We recently spent 4 nights at this property. Without prompting we received an Honors upgrade to a corner room, which doesn't always happen with HHonors. Our room had a great view of the New Year's Eve ball and the Hudson River, and was high enough above Times Square that there was no noise. The windows open just a little, and we always appreciate the option of fresh air.
Upon arrival the room reeked of cigarette smoke. We opened the windows, ran the AC, and dealt with it. The next morning I mentioned it to a man at the front desk, and he said they would have housekeeping "refresh" the room. By the time we returned that afternoon the smell was completely gone. There were times when it returned slightly, appearing to come through the AC vent. (Maybe a break room close by?) We are picky about this (especially in places that advertise themselves as nonsmoking hotels) and it was not a problem even for us. The corner rooms are a good size, with lots of drawer and closet storage. They are right next to the ice machine room, and are equipped with a safe, coffeepot and mini-fridge.
A tip if you are traveling with luggage. If you enter the hotel off of 41st street it is much quieter, and you don't have to deal with the Times Square crowds at all.
For a large hotel in such a busy location, this property is immaculate and the level of service is impressive. There is a drugstore across the street for sundries like soda, beer, and toiletries. The hotel is across the street from the Port Authority building where many tour buses are located. The Times Square subway station is a few paces away. The staff pays attention and responds quickly to complaints. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: A corner room. You must have a room above the 25th floor if you want a view of anything other than a...

This hotel was perfect for first timers to NY, you've got literally everything on your door step, Madam Tussauds and Ripleys right round the corner. You can't really fault a Hilton Hotel, they're all pretty good. This one is probably one of the better ones (comparing them to those in London). If you've got the budget then I'd probably stay in a Doubletree however how much time do you really want to spend in a hotel when you're in NY?

We had a room quite low down, no problems with noise at all, I'd imagine the views higher up would be pretty amazing.

Very nice hotel, excellent staff.

Our large family (kids age 12-10-8-6) visited NYC for the first time in July 2013. The location of this hotel was great to take subway either uptown or downtown Manhattan. Kids enjoyed all of the action around them. I found the rooms to be clean and offered a view down to much of the action on 44th street. The front desk help was terrific. One person in particular helped me print out our pre-ordered tickets for the Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial site visit by having me send them to his personal email address since they were having a computer issue on site. All the staff were very friendly.

We stay in NYC every other month and usually avoid staying in Times Square for the reason of avoiding run down rooms in a carnival like atmospheres in the hotel lobbies. I was surprised that the Hilton put both concerns to rest. The rooms were very new, clean and well appointed. Peter from guest services was very helpful on the phone and in person when we checked in. It is a very efficient run hotel given the volume. The concierge service is also very helpful. You can't beat the location to get around Manhattan or pick up the subway.

My husband had never stayed in NYC, so i wanted to be sure that he experienced Times Square in all of its greatness - the Hilton Times Square gave us the location at a super price!! Our corner room was a large, comfortable space with a refrigerator and safe, with spectacular views and close to everything!! Loved it!

Room Tip: Sundays in August were discounted from regular rates.
