“A great Sunday stroll”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

We went to the Green Flea on a VERY hot NYC Sunday. First we visited the Green Farmers Market behind the Museum of Natural History and ventured 1 block south to the Green Flea Market. In the hot NYC summer, it is best to go very early before the sun comes over the top of the market. The day we were there, many vendors actually opted not to open. Honestly, we lasted about 1 hour total (if that) and had to go across the street to the restaurant to hydrate and cool (sorry forgot the name of the restaurant but it looked wonderful and did a Sunday Brunch which we will try next time).

“Cool place”
Reviewed August 13, 2012 via mobile

The flea market is on 77 st.

Lot of funny stuff. Not far from a local organic food market.

People there are really friendly.

Strange shop with old artifacts objects found in excavations in the basement of New York.

“Expected more .....”

Visited the market expecting a bustling vintage and cultural market, instead it was like a car boot sale in a school. The best part were the stalls selling spices and foods. Disappointed!

“Local colour”

Visted on a sunny Sunday in February, friendly place but not much going on. Average flea market stuff, good for seeing New Yorkers going about their business.
