We arrived at the hotel and could not make an automatic check-in so we had to go up to the reception, where we discovered that they have not received the order even though we had received a confirmation from Booking.com
And then a long and exhausting process of clarification began with a supervisor, waiting, obtaining permits, re-establishing the order (luckily there was a room available)
But unfortunately it did not end there - we were charged twice in a few credit cards because it turns out that they re-established an earlier order we made through the hotel website and canceled and not the booking through booking.com
The room was very small in an exaggerated way
So small that you have to press a button that shrinks the bed so you can move in the room
The cost of the room is too high for such a small room
We contacted the receptionists several times and said that they had charged us with an unclear transactions but they claimed they did not see it
The hotel was full of people who belonged to events and fashion shows or something in style-too much mess in common areas

The view from the room on the 27th floor was very nice and so was the shower by the window
We did not use all the hotel services but there seems to be a nice bar, the possibility of purchasing coffee every morning inside the hotel and seating areas

The location of the hotel is very good and very nice to go out in the evening

Room Tip: Room as large as possible

We value guest feedback and appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your recent stay. First off, allow us to apologize that your arrival wasn’t as smooth as we would have liked. Occasionally, there is a delay in receiving details about last-minute reservations made through third-party sites, and we’re sorry that this got your stay off on the wrong foot. We also regret that the compact nature of our cabins came as a surprise to you, as part of the uniqueness of the YOTEL experience is our clever design, intended to provide everything our visitors need and nothing they don’t. We are pleased to see that you enjoyed the great city views and prime Manhattan location, and we hope you’ll consider a return visit so that we may win your heart in full!

Best,

The YOTEL Crew

I stayed for the second time at Yotel because I not only like the style of the hotel - the price is reasonable, the rooms are small but great and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend!

Something about the futuristic-spaceship nature of this hotel makes the staff assume they don't have to provide any regular customer service. Bad experience with unhelpful check-in staff as well as very rude restaurant manager.

...not all its hyped up to be.

Good location and a reasonable rate, however the room was lacking in a few areas.

1. Cleanliness, dusty and unclean with stained sheets on the bed, no in room amenities except shampoo/soap.

2. Electric bed which mentioned in other reviews didnt work.

3. No fridge/kettle in the room safe didnt work.

4. General grimey feeling scuffs and marks makes the room feel dirtier than it probably was.

Overall the hotel was okay we spent most of our time out and about so only slept here. Was frustrating that a cool hotel let itself down with the basics, less gimmicks and better housekeeping.

Also appreciate the expensive nature of NYC however the hotel comes with NO "extras" for example no tea/coffee in room, $6 charge for leaving luggage, no mini fridge, no in room water.

Would i stay here again, no. If you can afford slightly more or choose to stay out of Manhattan then do that.

Hotel was situated conveniently close to the places we wanted to visit. Room comfortable & spacious enough.Breakfast available within the building, which was a bonus.Check in a bit lengthy as had to do it on a machine.
