I have stayed at this very location many times over the past several years. It's very hip and trendy in my opinion. Though the rooms can be quite small you probably wouldn't do more than sleep in it anyways. By the way the beds are quite comfy. In general very quiet once in room, sound proof windows a plus ! Recommend getting a room with a view of the river. It's spectacular at night and day to watc the boats go by and see the foot traffic underneath. Love the purple hue lighting in the room too. Close to Port Authority and the Playwright Diner for great comfort food.

My one concern/suggestion is that it's a very busy hotel with white walls throughout the halls and rooms. There should be ongoing painting, washing and maintenance of walls on an ongoing basis. The last few times I visited I noticed lots of scuff dark/black marks throughout the hotel itself that just aren't being addressed making the hotel look neglected a bit. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for an higher end unit away from the elevator and street.

The rooms are small but it doesn't matter because you won't spend much time in the rooms in NYC! They designed the space to be funky and functional. The service was friendly and I especially enjoyed the self-serve check in feature. I would stay again.

Very affordable place to stay, worked out well for the one night I needed to stay. Location is good, rooms on the smaller side (welcome to NY!). Also, note that automated check-in was on 1st floor, any issues with check-in, need to go up to the 4th floor.

By pictures you can see that is funky and modern hotel but what you don't know before you come there is that vibe is great inside... From the moment you enter in the elevator with James Bond music to your room, your sences will be amazed with what they experience. For me, super experience, exceptionally good location (shuttle bus drop off/pick up point is 5min away), close to Times Square, great terrace with breathtaking view and good service.
One thing that I would advise the hotel that needs to improve is information (on check in) about 4th floor and lobby..people get lost at begining..it's not clear that you need to go to 4th and then to your floor.
All in all, place to recommend.

The Yotel had a fun, funky vibe, super easy check-in at a self-serve kiosk. Friendly staff. Party on the patio every night. Only complaints are: service was sooo slow on the patio, and the a/c in the room was either off or blasting, so we had to sweat or freeze to death.

Hello lisaaE1082CD!

Thank you for posting your comments with us! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the hotel concept. We will share your comments about the slow service on the terrace with our F&B team. All cabins have an individual thermostats control unit so we sad to hear this was an issue on your particular cabin, we apologize about that.
