This was our first trip to NYC and what a great way to spend it in the YOTEL. A good location just 10 minutes from Times Square meant we walked everywhere. After being blown away by the lobby and distinct lack of staff ( I counted 1at check in ) you quickly fall for the techie charms the hotel has on offer. It takes 30 seconds to realize this is not an ordinary hotel, the big robotic arm to your right gives a huge clue and is great entertainment when waiting for transport in the lobby area.
The room itself is small but with a clever fold out bed that operates electronically transforming from a couch, it soon becomes a comfy place to sleep. The lighting is good, subtle and moody when the mood takes you. Even tho the room was small, 2 days shopping in the fine department stores Macys and Bloomies didn;t impact our space due to clever storage areas and brilliant design. Coffee and water is free on every floor with muffins served daily for breakfast for free. We did eat one night in the hotels restaurant as the weather was too cold out and what a nice experience that is. Good food, not too cheap but very tatsy.
Will stay here again no questionMore
