22nd century hotel. Unbelievably modern. Super small rooms. Breathtaking view! Staff not so friendly, but it's a really cool hotel, if you're young, you'll love this place. Everything is so modern. The "lounge" is so cool! The beds move too!

Had 5 nights and must say enjoyed it. Generally the super hi tech, over-the-top wacky hotels bore me. Somehow Yotel (British strangely), worked really well, clean rooms, simple but had everything necessary, bar a bit of skin cream. For some reason for 2 days only 2 of the lifts worked and checking in went a bit wrong, credit card numbers had been left on booking and verified, but on arrival needed to be seen again, 'I wasn't paying' so complications. There's a pretty decent restaurant on level 4 and basic complimentary breakfast, alternatively a good selection that can be paid for. Given New York prices Yotel is good value. Just need to iron out minor problems, desk staff could be more friendly and polite!

Located on 10th Avenue in Midtown the Hotel was an okay distance from Times Square but not really convenient for other attractions such as Central Park, Top of th Rock or Bloomingdales. If you do not mind walking for a good 15- 30 minutes then the location is fine.
Clean rooms but very compact - do not visit New York if you like your own personal space! It was a little uncomfortable for us in the bedroom during Hurricane Sandy as we were locked up for 48 hours and did not have a lot of space to move about (had to sit on the bed all day), however I think this was really a one off experience and hopefully not everyone will be trapped inside! Staff okay, they are not really bothered about Customer Service or 'going the extra mile', this is a Hotel for convenience not luxury.
Hotel offers free WiFi and 4 computers for guests to use in the Reception area - very handy when looking up attractions, shows, restaurants, ticket prices etc. There is also a concierge there, however most of the time we found that it was closed (presume it is perhaps a 9-5 thing?).
Yotel provided food during Sandy, however we were very disappointed to be charged $18 each for lunch and $25 each for dinner, whilst we would have been happy to make a small contribution for the cost of the food we did feel that they were 'cashing in' on the situation. Was also disappointing that they offered no help or information on 'what to do' in a Hurricane or in the event of evacuation especially as most of their guests would never have been in a Hurricane before

This was a great experience Very different and the service was great The robot in lobby to store your luggage was convenient and fun to use. Rooms small but very functional. Morning continental breakfast was just right and served in a relaxed atmosphere.Just close enough to walk to Times Square and jazz clubs and Broadway Shows.

Room Tip: All rooms are about the same

Great location! Walking distance to Javits Convention center and Times Square. The check in kiosk was quick and easy. Free muffin and coffee breakfast was better than the usual stale bagels that I've had at other hotels. They also have a tasty lunch menu. Rooms are small, especially if you have a lot of luggage. No closet, just a couple of short rods to hang clothes and a couple of drawers. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back!

This is a great find in NYC. There are a lot of great restaurants around and it was a new neighborhood for me to explore. I had a small cabin the first two nights and paid for an upgrade to a suite the rest of the stay. The suite was big and lovely.

Pros: free wifi, a techie's dream, complimentary breakfast or hot one for $9.99, great staff, work rooms and great food.

Cons: Staff is a bit overwhelmed and could not anticipate when my room would be ready and kept giving me conflicting information and thanking me for my patience. No room service.

Clean. Quiet. Fast check-in and very fast check-out. Full services. Muffin, coffee and water free are great. Near the Highline and near the Public Library. In the middle of restaurant area.
During Sandy days YOTEL offers a lot of help for food and facilties at a good price. Not problem to have may room at a good price for my forced staying.

Room Tip: I had a 33ft room. It was great for three fo a week also during Sandy
