Yotel was a very pleasant surprise. Facilities are extraordinary, we even enjoyed the free (!) bike rental. The rooms are very nicely designed, everything you need is there, even an iPod-connecter! The Crew was outstanding, all of them. I can recommend this to everyone!

Hi bartvandorst, we are so happy you chose Yotel too! Thank you for your review! We’re also thrilled that you enjoyed our new bike program. For less than $5 you get to tour Manhattan in a new customized Strada… you guessed it… purple bike. Additionally, through our program, you can receive 25% off other bike models if the purple is too much for you (as if, lol). Thank you again bartvandorst! We hope to see you back soon! Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at gina@yotelnewyork.com if we can ever be of future assistance.

I stayed one night at the Yotel and wish it could've been much longer! It is a very fun and comfortable place to stay. The outdoor terrace is magnificent. A perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink. The prices for food are very reasonable for the city. The room was small, but, to be expected in NYC. After all, they are called cabins!

Check in and out was very easy on the computers. There are plenty of staff to help if you get stuck along the way. Breakfast was surprisingly good - the muffins and coffee a perfect way to start the day.

Location is good - just a few blocks from Times Square, so a very easy walk. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance.

A modern hotel inside Manhattan. Fun ambiance mood. The rooms are small, but very well organized and super clean. Everything square foot is meticulously designed. The furniture is custom made for a hotel perspective. The rooms are surprisingly quiet. We get a very nice view from the 26th floor. Wifi signal was good. The self check-in / check-out service mostly works. The perfect place if you don’t want/need to talk to anybody. Walk distance to Time Square. Affordable price overall.
On the bad side:
We got some issue with the elevator.
The mattress can be a little hard for some.
The bathrooms don’t offer much privacy.

Room Tip: pay the extra to select a room with a view.

Stayed here 28th september to 4th october 2012, 2 couples, 40th celebration. Check in all fine, computerised system worked well. We had emailed ahead to ask for high floor rooms and adjacent rooms but were allocated a room on the 10th and one on the 14th......... A chat to the reception team on the 4th and we were sorted with 2 rooms next to each other on the 27th floor. Rooms clean, streamlined, no frills, all white, lotsa gadgets. Everything worked, regular patrols by staff along corridors to alert us when we left a door ajar made it feel secure. Muffins and tea/coffee in the morning all beautifully fresh, bar trendy and modern, all staff helpful and friendly, food in restaurant tasty and well made. Free maps and directions on request. Very quiet, no noise from any other rooms. Bed a lot more comfy than I thought it would be. Central for most things - 10 mins walk to Times Square, 5 mins to subway. Rang of ages staying here, a few younger groups but a younger demographic than most hotels I think, don't think my parents would like it.
Downsides; hot water for tea not working in galley one morning, rang down to be told to try another floor so went down ( in pj's) and that one didn't work either......
Lack of privacy in the bathroom would be a problem for some couples - no door, an opaque curtain does not stop noise or smells........ there are toilets elsewhere though.
Would def stay here again

Room Tip: Emailing ahead did not work, ask the helpful crew on the 4th floor reception.

Yes, the rooms (I stayed in a "premium cabin") are relatively small but the space utilization is the best I've seen! The rooms are very quiet, climate control is excellent, and I felt comfortable and cozy, but never claustrophobic. The smallest rooms are great for an individual or couple.
