“Gargantuan Steel of Wonder!”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

The Unisphere in Flushing Meadow Park is always an awesome sight to behold, it is a gargantuan structure all made of steel. I especially love to visit during the US Open Tennis when the water fountains surrounding the Unisphere are in full spectacular display. This steel globe has been an iconic site in Queens since the 1964 World’s Fair which was held in this New York borough. The best and easiest way to get to Unisphere is by taking the number 7 train and get off at Willets Point/City Field Stadium station, walk towards the US Tennis stadium but do not enter, walk around it and further back (after more or less 10 minutes of walking), you’ll see this huge steel of wonder! You can walk around it or bike around it or just gaze at it!

“Men in Black!”
Reviewed September 7, 2012 via mobile

A little walk from the subway stop. Big well maintained park with what is left of the 64 WorldFair.... The unisphere and towers the alien in MIB climbed. Also, the mosaics and a sculpture remain. Arthur Ashe stadium where the are having the US Open. The new Mets stadium is on the other side of the subway stop..

“Brought Back Memories”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

We saw the Unisphere from the 7 train on our way to a Mets game. We were early to the game, and being old enough to have attended the '64 World's Fair, I had to check it out. What a walk down Memory Lane! The gardens were well kept and I couldn't believe that the Unisphere was in such good shape (perhaps it has been replaced). Make sure to check out the time capsule at the entrance to the park across from Citi Field.
