I’ve only been to Danji twice and did my best to work through the menu, and I'll definitely be back.

It’s this cozy little Korean tapas spot where it’s clear the chef is a classically trained in French cuisine but uses Korean ingredients, flavors, and techniques. Apparently their chef was the first Korean to be awarded a Michelin Star and held it for 3 years. Mad props.

The spicy chicken wings, the steak tartare, and the braised pork are all fabulous—I also had the bibimbap which was solid.

I'll be back try their dumplings and their noodles (both the hot and cold).

Small cosy place, loved the ambience. We made online reservation. Ordered cod fish with black bean sauce, pork bun and kimchi stew. The food is good, especially the cod. Portion is a bit small but nevertheless perfect place to a lovely night out.

We arrived without a reservation after our matinee and they were able to squeeze us in. We were served quickly but didn't feel rushed. Everything was delicious. We had spicy "KFC" Korean fire chicken wings which were crunchy and sweet. We also ordered pork belly sliders, bossam, which is pork belly wrapped in daikon and topped it off with kimchi bacon wet fried rice. Incredibly complex and just spicy enough to leave your mouth tingling. We will go back for more.

Danji is a wee unassuming Korean restaurant that is close to Broadway theaters and can send you on your way with a full belly in good time. I ordered the beef bulgogi bibim-bap, which arrived hot with plenty of traditional ingredients to mix in for a tasty meal. I didn't rush and wasn't rushed, and I still was in and out in an hour, which can make this place a good option for a pre-theater meal. Service was polite and impeccable.

One of the best Asian meals I've ever had. If this is what Korean food is like what have I been missing all my life?
Tasting menu for 2. Dishes served relatively quickly although we didn't feel that we were being rushed out the door at the end. Charmingly small and basic place so a quirky feel to what was undoubtedly a haute cuisine experience. Not cheap but still great value.
Highly recommend
