We met a good friend there on a Monday night. The place was crowded but we managed to get a table for five in relatively short time also the restaurant is rather small.
The decoration was minimal but very stylish.
The staff was very friendly. I liked very much the fact that you did not order individual dishes for each guest but rather an assortment of dishes for the whole table - the Asian style. We head 10 different dishes and everything was extremely tasty. Especially the honey garlic chicken wings were delicious. And for friends of spicy and ginger I can recommend the vodka chili ginger cocktail.

We tried this restaurant on a whim after reading a little about it. We arrived just after six to the tiny restaurant and got the last two seats on a long table for eight. The food is tapas style and billed as the flavors of Korean if not authentic Korean. We ordered the bulgogi sliders, kimchi trio, sablefish, short ribs, bossam (pork), japchae (glass noodles, and a side of rice. Each dish came out separately and was well described. Each dish tasted better then the previous. The sablefish was one of the best cooked pieces of fish I have ever had. Service was attentive. It wasn't until the end when we were speaking with the server that we found out the restaurant had a Michelin star. Total bill with two beers and tax was about $102.

I was skeptical about Danji- it got great reviews from critics but some visitors questioned the amount of food for the price. I'd have to disagree- between two people we shared 4 plates and a bottle of wine, and were perfectly full when finished. We shared the steak tartare, calamari with wasabi sauce, k town nachos and pork belly sliders. Was happy with all of the dishes, particularly the tartare and the pork belly, which I'm still thinking about. The price per plate was in line with other tapas places in the city. The presentation was fun, the pace of the meal was good and the servers friendly and prompt. We arrived at 6:20 on a Thursday and were seated right away, though it did fill up completely by the time we left. I would absolutely come here again with friends who appreciate new tastes and interesting combinations.

Very well cooked small plates of modern Korean food, buzzy vibe. Got there at opening time and within 10 minutes this little 36 seater was absolutely packed. One bite of the tofu with ginger and scallions and I could see why!
