“Not for everyone”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

We tried this restaurant on a recent trip to NYC. Two of our group were not comfortable with chopsticks and it took the waitress a while to find a couple of forks. The food was interesting but it was difficult to figure out the menu and the lighting was such that it was difficult to read. I am certain that if you are familiar with the restaurant, it is much easier but for tourists fresh off the street it is more of a challenge than you would like.

The food was good when it arrived and very interesting. If you are fond of Asian food, this would be a good experience for you. If you are used to a meat and potatoes diet, it is a little too difficult to figure out what to order.

“Excelent concept!!”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

The restaurant is located on 5th ave and the design is very nice, but the food is excellent. Try the very unique sandwiches, the bread is made the moment you order and it is very good.

“BONCHON wannabe”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

Good fried chicken...not as good as Bonchon! BonChon has more taste and is more crispy! Just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind, I grabbed a 6 piece of both Kyochon and Bonchon wing both Garlic Soy flavor since they were located next to each other across the street from the Empire State Building for a taste test in my hotel room. Can't lie though...Kyochon has way better take out packaging than their competitors...but the taste has to go to Bonchon!

“Would eat there again...”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

We walked into this place simply because our hotel was right around the corner and we were pleasantly surprised. Very modern decor, nice staff, we were served quickly, nice crowd and atmosphere, the food was excellent (we had a rice bowl) and the prices are ok. Considering the difficulties one can have when attempting to find a good place to eat in NY without a recommendation from a local person, this was indeed an excellent accidental discovery. The next day I went back there and got a grill chicken salad to go and it was also very good.
