“Unexpectedly awesome!”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

We are admittedly italian food snobs so I wasn't quite convinced by the reviews…but oh my was this place delicious!! We shared rice balls, an arugula salad and braciole as appetizers and got gnocchi, a special risotto and the rigatoni as main dishes. Each one was excellent! Not a dud at the table! Rubirosa is a keeper!

“Incredible food, huge portions! ”
Reviewed January 13, 2014 via mobile

We spent a weekend in NYC from Colorado. We looked at the reviews online for this restaurant. We went on sun night at about 8:30pm and it was packed!

The restaurant is small, and not much room to move around, but that doesn't even matter.

The food was incredible! The pizza is thin and authentic. Yummy and crisp with great toppings. Chicken parm is huge! 2 people can easily split this dish. The portions are out of control!

This was a great experience for our group and we're so glad we found this gem. Best food we had in NYC!

“Best pizza bar none!”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

This non touristy, vibrant restaurant on Mulberry street served up the best pizza and delicious minestrone soup (almost a main course in itself!). Friendly staff and good selection of beers and cocktails, the bloody mary was a winner for me! This was our second visit and we were not disappointed.

“Must get Vodka Sauce Pizza”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Charming neighborhood restaurant. Small place very busy. Good thin crust pizza. Very large sized pies. Five of us ate a large and two smalls. The pizza was good but the Vodka sauce one was excellent. When we are in NYC again I will definitely make a point to stop in for the vodka pizza.

“Great food and choices”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

The Gluten free choices were excellent and appreciated. All of the tastes were outstanding, but the Octopus was just out of this world. This was a must for excellent Italian food. All of our meals were well prepared and excellent and the service was good.
