I sat at the corner of the wide bar with a friend. I had the daily fixed price three course lunch. It was delicious and very well presented and good value. The food is sophisticated without being pretentious. The portions aren't large but I find that most New York restaurants give you far too much food. My friend chose off the a la carte menu which is significantly more expensive. The restaurant is well decorated; large and airy.
The barman doubled up as our watier and was very helpful and solicitous.
Justin Beiber was staying at the Langham where this restaurant is situated on the first floor on the day that I went, which meant gaining access through hundreds of sreaming teenage girls who were on the sidewalk outside!
I will definitely come again.
