“Great meal prior to night on town”
Reviewed November 10, 2011

We were planning a night out of drinking and a friend recommended this restaurant since it was close to our final destination. We got in early, so we did not need a reservation, but the place quickly filled up. My wife described it as a "dimly lit library with drinks." The drink list was outstanding and the menu reasonable for NY. I recommend the pork chop. It came out perfect.

“A hidden Treasure in Lower East Side NYC”
Reviewed September 26, 2011

The name implies a pub and its listed in many tour books as a gastropub, but it is so much more than just a Scottish pub. The decor, lighting and ambiance is dark, inviting and intimate but very nice. Never pretentious. Our waitress, Ariana, was lovely and very knew her menu very well. Food selection is not comfort Scottish food but trendier and delicious. By far, the best part reason to go for are the drinks. In addition to a large selection of fine whiskey, there are a few well priced specialty cocktails that are superb. In particular, The Lady of the Lake, is heavenly. Mixologit is a genius who made a perfect blend of infused vodka, honey and other ingredients that I sadly do not recall. This is a place that friends go and linger for hours over a great meal and cocktails. A must go to place.
