Yummy place for great pastry, but also a fabulous place to hang out and people watch late on a Saturday night. Service occasionally sucks. You have to be a little aggressive.

Always a pleasure to stop by here. We stopped by last weekend and the pastries are were as good as ever. We got a gingerbread cookie, a cassata, and some cafe au lait's and everything was awesome. The cassata was so good, we bough a few to have in the coming days, though they lasted all of 4 hours before we devoured them both. Top notch bakery/cafe.

Tasty treats after a dinner out. We ate both gelato and baked gods. Yummy and not expensive.

This place is more than a bakery, but it is also a good bakery. All of the confections I have purchased here have been very good, and judging from the number of people who come in to pick up baked goods while I am enjoying one of their other, creative dishes at one of the tables; many New Yorkers agree.
I have had everything from creative salads to soups to sandwiches here on a sit down basis and they have been consistently good. The service is a bit slow as the same people man the tables as do the behind-the-counter bakery service. This makes catching the eye of your server a bit tough at times.
Overall this is a great place for a light lunch of something different. There is also outside seating in good weather, and the green space across the street makes for a better than average outside dining venue.
