We stumbled across Il Punto as we had just arrived from Manchester and we were looking for something quick to eat. The menu is fantastic and the food was incredible. I had the Sea Bass and it was one of the best fish dishes I have ever eaten. My partner needs to eat strictly gluten and dairy free and the looked after her needs very very well. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Based on TA reviews, we made a dinner reservation Friday evening. The service, ambience, and food was more than we expected. My husband ordered the tasting menu which included: an arugula, salami, and cheese salad; a spaghetti course, a fabulous steak and dessert. All courses were creative, generous, and tasty. I ordered a salad and a scallop risotto both of which were terrific. We had wine by the glass and after dinner Irish coffee and cappuccino. Our dessert was a wonderful chocolate cake with vanilla gelato - so fabulous. Given the wonderful food and great service, we felt Il Punto was a great value for NYC. We will definitely return on our next city visit.

Service was amazing! We felt under dressed but the manager made us feel at home. The food was absolutely amazing and affordable. They even catered to my 10 year old. All my party was a member of the clean plate club. We will return again.

We visited this restaurant last weekend based on reviews on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is small and not overly fancy. The food however, was delicious. My husband ordered a wide ribbon pasta (I do not recall the Italian name) and he said it was literally the best pasta that he has ever had, and he has had a lot. I had the seafood risotto which was so flavorful and well done. They have a really fun cocktail menu and I did order several of the grapefruit cocktails with a blackberry in them that were so good. They got wind that it was a birthday visit for me and they surprised me with a lovely birthday desert and even sang to me.
I do owe the server and the restaurant an apology. I inadvertently under tipped which was in no way a reflection of the experience, just bad math on my part.
We would definitely visit there again. Thanks for a great evening!

I was heading up for a play and wanted to find a place for lunch that was on the way, this was rated well so decided to try it. The margaritas were good, and the food was amazing:) We started with the fresh Long Island fried Calamari, it was the best I have ever had! They were so tender, and the coating was perfect. I ordered Carpaccio which came with arugula, shaved parmesan cheese and lemon dressing; it was a wonderful salad instead of a few pieces of lettuce. I ordered the lobster ravioli, there were large chunks of lobster and the sauce was excellent. It came with a few shrimp that were cooked perfect. My husband ordered rigatoni with meat sauce, he loved it. We weren't planning to order dessert, but they brought us biscotti and cannolis! I don't like cannoli, the filling is usually too sweet for me; these were amazing - the filling was creamy and tasted wonderful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant:)
