We had a reservation but we arrived early and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was full by 6:30PM. Approx. 12 tables. It is clean, excellent wait staff and a full bar.

We ordered the:
Fettucine Nere (in squid black ink) with mussels – very good, highly recommended
Paccheri al Ragu – had the largest pasta I have seen
Risotto agli asparagi e capesante (daily special) – risotto was a bit dry

We passed on dessert. There were mainly dairy selections and we were restricted from eating daily.

Overall experience – very good.

Not a great wine selection, but the food is good. It's a smaller restaurant, but understandable for NY city. I was disappointed at the $19.00 plate of plain pasta with butter for my 9 year old daughter. They did change it to $10 after I complained.

Ciao!
thank you for taking the time to review us. I am glad you liked the food and I am very happy the waiter corrected the price mistake on the pasta dish. We just introduced a few half portion pasta options (9$) in the Menu, so that also kids can enjoy pasta without wasting half of it.

This out of the way restaurant has a small menu which I presume allows it maintain very high quality. I had broccoli rabe with white beans as an appetizer, so well prepared. The seafood stew entree was delightful. We had a wonderful bottle of Sangiovese which was recommended by the server. Who, by the way, did an excellent job of opening the wine and warming the glasses with friction on a cloth. Tiramisu for dessert, a nice coffee and an evening to definitely repeat when next in NY.

Tucked away a bit from the crowded parts of Hell's Kitchen, this provides a quiet relief. Unlimited cocktails (selection of Bloody Mary, Mimosa & Bellini) provide the right lubrication for an extended lunch, and great when you are with good friends. Service is good too. Although I must say it ranked just slightly lower on my 'Fettuccine Test', compared to Piccolo's the Upper Westside where I ate the previous day

Had a great Pre-Broadway Matinees lunch. They had a complete lunch offer but we did
a la cart instead and were not disappointed. Started with caprese salad/tomato, ceasar salad, risotto with mushrooms, rigatoni ragu and finished with cappucinos and gelato. The service was outstanding. Full bar and wine choices too.
Enjoy!
