We were visiting this section of NYC recently and came here as a party of 6 adults for dinner. One very nice thing about the menu is items are labeled gluten free and veggie. We appreciated this as some of our group needed that information. We had a variety of food from chicken wings and pork bellies for appetizers and 3 cheese raviolis, duck pasta, a veggie and rice dish, huge colorful salads and roast chicken. The chicken can be ordered $14 for 1/4 of $22 for a half a chicken. It was served with roasted potatoes and grilled cherry tomatoes. That was the best! For dessert they had a beer milshake - echoes of Steinbeck? And my daughter said it was surprizingly good.
Only complaint -they had a piano player and this is a small place so when he was palying you really couldn;t have a conversation with the people you were seated with. But I read complaints here about the service and our expeience was very different. Very good service. They even moved us down away from the piano - it was still too loud, but the wait staff was very accommodating. All in all a good experience and $250 total for 6 people with wine, a couple appies and a couple desserts. For NYC prices i think this is quite reasonable.
