“WOW!”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

This place is unbelievable, when walking outside it's hard to tell what's going on in that building complex and when you enter it hits you... numerous spots to buy all kinds of fresh Italian food or sit down and dine. From Cheeses, fish or meat to candy and Gelato (ice cream)

Only downside the crowd.. it does become overwhelming in there and the waiting lines could deter you from shopping something but on the other side it shows how successful they are and the food turns over quickly thus fresh

“Friend's Recommendation”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

This was a restaurant and food shopping combination. There are several different restaurants in this establishment. We ate at the La Pizza/La Pasta. We sat above the main floor. The table overlooked the main floor. The seating area was very small and not clean. We had Ragu Lasagne and Vesuvio which was good but it was hard to overlook the surrounds. The service was quick and forgotten. This place was recommended by friends but we won't be coming back.

“That's Italian”
Reviewed May 3, 2014 via mobile

Eataly was on my must-do list for this visit. The only time we could visit was early Sunday evening and it was bustling but not overwhelming.

Since we had a late lunch, we started by taking a lap around to survey all our optioms. After our lap we decided on the pizza and pasta station. The wait was only about 20 minutes before we were seated at the pizza counter.

We decided on two pasta dishes, the argula shaved fennel salad, a glass of red and a glass of white wine. I had the quadrati (cheese and spinach ravioli) with lemon butter sauce topped with pistaschios accompanied by a glass of Gavi. The pasta was light and bright and the sauce was something I haven't had before. I'm searching the Internet right now trying to find the recipe! My BF had the lasagna with meat sauce. He measures all red sauce against his grandmother's recipe and declared this a winner. It was rich and delicious.

Discovered they have opened a second location in Chicago which is only four hours drive from us. Can you say road trip?
