Description: Robert is a modern American restaurant housed within the Museum of Arts and Design with an amazing view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. Enjoy dinner and a bottle of fine wine from our collection in our beautifully designed dining room. Have a seat in our lounge next to our baby grand piano and sip one of our cocktails.

“One of the best views while dining, food- not so much.”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

We booked about a month ahead and reserved a window table. Absolutely worth it the view of Columbus Circle and Central Park was truly spectacular. The service was very good, waitress was knowledgeable about menu and had a good sense of humor. I think the food was average, nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. The view made up for it - once and takes my rating from average to very good.

“Fun restaurant at the Museum”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

Great views of CentralPark and the Time Warner Center in the middle of a blizzard!
Very modern decor and good food st the top of the Museum of Art and Design. A bit expensive but worth it. There is a weekend brunch that looks interesting. Leave the kids at home though.

“beautiful place, excellent good, excellent service”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

I am a New Yorker, and while I heard a lot of out of towners here, it is a terrific place not just for tourists. The view is wonderful (overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park). My Tuna Nicoise was wonderful and the sevice was impeccable. My only complaint would be that it was too crowded, but even with the next table too close, we were able to easily carry on a conversation. it is a treasure.

“One of our best dinners in NYC”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

We had a wonderful dinner here before seeing Mary Poppins. Everything was exceptional from the food, ambience to the service! Attentive service to all the details and yet not over bearing! The servers were just professional enough. We loved that they were personable and not stuffy. We felt very welcome and also felt like we were treated as if we were special even though we know we aren't. All of the food was fresh and top quality. The portions were just right. We had soup and salads, as well as mussels for an appetizer. We also tried scallops and lamb. All of the dishes were delicious! The flavors were perfect combinations. On top of all that, the evening view is fabulous! Just be sure to keep checking back to ensure a table by a window. They are prized!

“Wonderful find in NYC”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

A friend suggested we eat at Robert at Columbia Circle in NYC. It is located on the top floor of the Museum of Arts and Design or MAD with an amazing view looking up and down Broadway. It is a small restaurant clustered around the large windows so everyone has a great view. They have a lounge area which is just great for drinks. We had a very good dinner, great service and for New York the prices were quite reasonable. It is on the West corner of Central Park and I would suggest you go if you are looking for that little restaurant that locals seem to know about. Enjoy...
