Description: Robert is a modern American restaurant housed within the Museum of Arts and Design with an amazing view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. Enjoy dinner and a bottle of fine wine from our collection in our beautifully designed dining room. Have a seat in our lounge next to our baby grand piano and sip one of our cocktails.

We had a wonderful dinner here before seeing Mary Poppins. Everything was exceptional from the food, ambience to the service! Attentive service to all the details and yet not over bearing! The servers were just professional enough. We loved that they were personable and not stuffy. We felt very welcome and also felt like we were treated as if we were special even though we know we aren't. All of the food was fresh and top quality. The portions were just right. We had soup and salads, as well as mussels for an appetizer. We also tried scallops and lamb. All of the dishes were delicious! The flavors were perfect combinations. On top of all that, the evening view is fabulous! Just be sure to keep checking back to ensure a table by a window. They are prized!

A friend suggested we eat at Robert at Columbia Circle in NYC. It is located on the top floor of the Museum of Arts and Design or MAD with an amazing view looking up and down Broadway. It is a small restaurant clustered around the large windows so everyone has a great view. They have a lounge area which is just great for drinks. We had a very good dinner, great service and for New York the prices were quite reasonable. It is on the West corner of Central Park and I would suggest you go if you are looking for that little restaurant that locals seem to know about. Enjoy...

We chose this restaurant because it was across the street from Jazz at Lincoln Center, where we were seeing Valerie Simpson. We weren't disappointed. The prices are steep, with the usual high-end tab for cocktails. But the setting can't be beat, overlooking Central Park and Columbus Circle. The service was good and everyone like their food, especially the pasta dishes.

Great spot for a drink or a bite. You should expect to pay top dollar, and you will. Went there for drinks and enjoyed them looking out over Columbus circle. The dinner menu looked good - but didn't try anything. Maybe another time.

So, if you're into a 'room with a view' and don't mind paying for it - this is your spot!

Back to Robert but this time for dinner. View always exciting and they were very accommodating with a window table and surprise birthday dessert. Attentive, knowledgeable service. Next time I will order the diver scallops...really special.
