We spent four days in NYC and this was a must do on our list. First saw this place on a popular travel show and knew we wanted to eat here. Traveled with my wife and another couple. Went there a few times but thought the line up was too long and decided to come back later. Don't let the line scare you, it moves very fast as we discovered when we finally got in it. I had the shackburger, fries and vanilla shake. The fries are good, but next time I will be going for two burgers instead, the are awesome.

Shake Shack are now mentioned in nearly any NYC visitor guide. That leads to long queues during lunch time. However to get a real great burger and good fries it's the right place for. We went twice and did not find better burgers somewhere else.

The burgers in this place are full burgers. They are spicy and stuffed with flavor. Unfortunately, after waiting on a never ending line you have to look, search and then negotiate for a spot to sit in. Once you manage to actually sit, your burger is cool and so are your fries. When you are eating you realize how yummy this is but again wish you could have foreseen the crowd. yummy but difficult to manage.

Burgers are proper meaty beef burgers unlike the thin burgers you get at mcdonalds etc. Crinkle fries are superb, shakes are thick and smooth. We went at 6pm, it was packed but got served in about 10 minutes. Well worth the wait. Gorgeous!

The burgers and fries were very good but honestly the shakes are better at McDonalds. My chocolate was grainy with chocolate powder or something. We waited in line at 10 pm at night after a play. No place to sit so took it back to hotel room right next door. Really I'd rather save time and Money and go to McDonalds across the street. Maybe burgers not as good but fries and shakes better at Mcdonalds.
