This hotel was good. Odd layout though and rooms very small for a Doubletree. We have stayed in a lot of hotels in NYC and this room was very small compared to others. Other than that pretty good stay. We only stayed 1 night and then moved hotels because of price. This was good price for a Saturday night.

Staff is very friendly. Location is excellent for people working on Wall Street/Brooklyn. Lift can be annoying sometimes, however, isn't a biggie. Rooms are decent sized. Are bigger than other doubletrees i have stayed. On the whole, it is nice package.
For me, I would come back, coz staff is very friendly.

Everyone from the girls who checked us in & gave us YUMMY cookies to a young man on night shift who I think did something w/laundry maybe his name was Christian? The guys who kept our suitcases safe & the bartenders were extremely accommodating as well. All the services where fantastic. We weren't sure if we should have stayed uptown by time square or not, but We liked the quaintness of the area and easy access to subway. There were enough bars & restaurant in the gerneral area & neon wasn't keeping us up. We would FOR SURE stay again. Sorry for not having all the names of staff, but anyone we came in contact w/ @ hotel was great- keep it up!

I am a business traveler and go to NYC nearly every week and have stayed at this hotel 5 times. I'm finally done with it!

First stay, the television and HD connection didn't work and the shower door was missing the plastic (?) to seal the water from seeping out. Soaking wet floor as a result. Second stay, cold shower. Third stay, so many tourists that pack the tiny restaurant for their "free breakfast buffet" that I could barely move. Also, they ran out of eggs. As a business traveler I truly don't have the time or patience to fight for a mediocre buffet. I've let my free coupons go unused and would much rather hit up a local place on my way to the office.

The elevators are a nightmare. As a result, I request a room on a low floor so I can take the stairs. However even the stairs are not always your best bet! The stairwell is incredibly narrow - so narrow that two people could not possibly fit.

The staff is friendly and it's a convenient location, but that is all this place has going for it.

For NYC standards, this hotel is very nice. The room was modern and up to date. FULL cable with HD channels and free On Demand. Everything looks new and worked well. It's close enough to the subways to get anywhere in the city.

CONS:
*There were NO HOOKS in the bathroom, at all!
*There could be double the amount of elevators. There was a line both nights we were there.
*The location is dead at night. Not the hotel's fault, but plan on taking the train or Taxi somewhere else if you want to go out.

If you need to be in the area, this is a good choice. If you are going to have a fun night in the city, you will need to travel, but it might be worth it as this is one of the nicer hotels I have stayed at in NYC.
